UFO Busting #92

Welcome back to the last UFO Busting parting in January.  Is it just me or does it seem like this month was three months long?  Good news, next month we get one extra day for sewing!  This week, I pressed on with the Mosaic Mystery quilt.  I basically finished the quilt top.

All that is left to do is cut and sew on the borders and my OMG for the month will be complete.

I bought a little extra of the border fabric and may make them slightly larger than what the pattern calls for.  Now it's time to bundle in, the snow is coming, and whittle down that to do list that has basically remained untouched.

I'm not the only one with visions of a Mosaic Mystery finish.  Carol over at Quilt Schmilt is so close herself.

Where I am deciding to go bigger with my borders, Carol is still trying to figure out exactly how she wants to finish off her quilt top.  Pop over, say hello and let her know what you think.  Carol, I'm praying the sun came out and melted some of that snow!

Next up, celebrating a UFO finish we have Vicki at Vicki's Crafts and Quilting.  Vicki has a goal to make one donation quilt a month, and her January one has her off to a great start.

Can you believe this isn't a kit or a panel?  Nope, using just stash fabric and Lion King blocks given to her by a friend, Vicki worked her magic and turned it into a master piece any small child is sure to love!  Make sure you stop by and congratulate Vicki on this quilt top finish.

Now it's your turn.  Link up below and tell us what you've been up to this week.

Love the fabrics in your quilt, Tish. The border fabric is very cool. I might have a finish next week, if I get my ducks all lined up!

I can't believe that January is almost over. I might not finish my OMG project. I love your border print for your Mosaic Mystery.

Hi Tish. That was so much fun to see my Mosaic Quilt on your blog post. I’m still trying to figure out the borders so have another UFO under the needle for quilting and am just finishing a quilt for a pattern test and doing charity blocks for Australia this week. The To Be Quilted pile got too big while I was recuperating from shoulder surgery! Love that grey background. I might need to do a grey on my next quilt. It’s such a nice neutral background!

And it has been raining non stop for almost a week. The snow is compacted but melting slowly!

Good morning, Tish! I hope you survived the snow that was pending. Our snow event turned into a big ice/rain event at the end so all the snow melted. That was nice - I didn't have to go out and shovel at all. Your Mosaic is turning out so lovely. I guess I've misinterpreted your linky party all along. It's not just for UFOs and their finishes? I don't have too many UFOs - thankfully - and they are going to remain a UFO for a while. HAHA! ~smile~ Roseanne
