To-Do Tuesday #4

Kind of an oopsie over here.  There was no to-do list last week.  Honestly, I didn't even tackle a thing on the list from the week before, so I just kind of let it slide to last week.  So here is my progress on the last to-do list.

Last week's list (technically from two weeks ago)

1) Trim and press all 100 HST blocks for the Gravity Quilt--done

This was like a two week effort, but happy to say all these 8.5" HST's are all trimmed up.  My quilting accountability partner, has her's all laid out ready to piece.  Time for me to figure my layout and join her.

January OMG Finish

I'm over here doing a little happy dance!  For the month of January, I decided to join Patty over at Elm Street Quilts in her One Monthly Goal (OMG) party.  This month, I wanted to finish piecing Cheryl at Meadow Mist Designs Mosaic Mystery Quilt.  As of yesterday, my goal was completed.

UFO Busting #92

Welcome back to the last UFO Busting parting in January.  Is it just me or does it seem like this month was three months long?  Good news, next month we get one extra day for sewing!  This week, I pressed on with the Mosaic Mystery quilt.  I basically finished the quilt top.

UFO Busting #91

Happy Saturday!  And you know what that means, it's time for us to get down and party and celebrate those finishes and not finishes and furry little squirrels running around our sewing room.  This week hasn't been quite as productive as I would have liked, but one step at a time.

I did managed to get all 100 HST's sewn and pressed for the Gravity quilt.  I even matched my manicure to the fabrics, which felt like a big win.  Hopefully, by the end of the week I can say that they are all trimmed as well.

1)  Piece the Mosaic Mystery Quilt's rows.--Done

I was able to get all the rows pieced together and even pinned to begin sewing.

UFO Busting #90

Welcome back to another addition of UFO Busting.  It's been a crazy week.  There was a full moon.  Did you feel it?  I know I sure did, it's like everyone lost their marbles, but things are leveling back out and returning to normal.  Even though the week didn't lead to much sewing I still managed to work on a few things.

I finished up all the diagonal blocks for the Mosaic Mystery Quilt and hopefully tomorrow will be able to make the rows come together.

To-Do Tuesday-#2

It feels good to be starting the year off right!  Although, starting something is usually pretty easy.  You're pepped.  You're ready.  You are going to do this!  It's the long term that sometimes trips you up.  I'm optimistic that us all being in this together, the long term is going to be easy.  Everything is better with friends.

Last week's list...

1) Work on and finish all of the instructions for the Mosaic Mystery Quilt--so close

This one was almost completed.  I got all the pieces except the diagonal blocks finished.  Considering the final layout was released last Thursday and I was basically starting at the beginning I will take this as a win.  I had a few mis-cuts that kinda slowed things down.

UFO Busting #89

A little more fireworks please!  I'm still ringing in the New Year over here.  I'm just not quite ready to stop.  A few days before the end of the year, I was able to celebrate my last finish, my 3D challenge project and official last Island Batik Ambassador project Positively 3D.  You can read more about it here.

I just love how it looks like you could reach out and grab those pluses right off the quilt.

OMG-January

It's been forever since I've set a monthly goal for myself but I'm back and ready to crack that whip.  I am joining in with Patty at Elm Street Quilts for her monthly link up to encourage us to tackle just one thing for the month (and there is prizes...shhhh).  This month I will be tackling piecing the Mosaic Mystery Quilt designed and hosted by Cheryl at Meadow Mist Designs.

I had set a goal last week to get all of the block pieces pieced and I'm almost there.

My goal for the month will be to take all the pieces and turn them into a finished quilt top.  This will hopefully allow me to get the quilt finished before the parade of quilts in March.  This also means that this quilt will have never hit my UFO list and that is something to celebrate!!!
