UFO Busting #89

A little more fireworks please!  I'm still ringing in the New Year over here.  I'm just not quite ready to stop.  A few days before the end of the year, I was able to celebrate my last finish, my 3D challenge project and official last Island Batik Ambassador project Positively 3D.  You can read more about it here.

I just love how it looks like you could reach out and grab those pluses right off the quilt.

I've also had some quilt top finishes I've been silent about.  My accountability sewing partner is keeping me on track!  First up is the flimsy for the Daisy Chain Mystery quilt.

And the Pat Sloan Out Of This World flimy.

It feels good to have two more quilts almost to a complete stage.  I'm ignoring it adds to the quilts that need quilted list.  I have another weekend sewing extravaganza planned for this weekend, so I'm hoping to cross a few more things off the to-do list.

Now lets see what you've been up to.  First up we have one I'm a little bias about.  It's Vicki at Vicki's Crafts and Quilting and her finished Fireburst quilt top.

For those that might be new to my page, Fireburst was a mystery quilt that I hosted in 2018 that finished up in January of 19.  You can find the free pattern on my quilt along landing page here.  Seeing Vicki's finished top, makes me want to grab my pile and start quilting.

Next up we have Donna Lee at DonnaLeeQ who has been finishing up projects like crazy.

I just adore this super colorful and fun tree quilt she finished piecing!  I could snuggle under this one all day with the Netflix going and be happy as a clam.  You also need to read about the live Elf on the Shelf over on her page.  It had me rolling for sure.

Now it's your turn.  Link up below and tell us what you've been into since the last week.

Congrats on a few more tops. Even though I have a pile as well, I'd rather have tops to be quilted than a pile of piecing to do. You should do a QAL or a pattern for your 3D pluses. It's amazing.

I love them all, Tish! And Donna Lee's tree quilt came out beautifully. I’ve been eyeballing that design for some time now. Maybe one day......xo

Hi Tish! Wowee - you have gotten far on both the Daisy Chain and the Out Of This World quilts. You're rocking the new year already. So the quilting pile is a little bigger . . . one weekend you'll be on a quilting roll and then they'll need binding! Great job. ~smile~ Roseanne

You've done a great job of working on UFOs while keeping up with your IB projects. It's been a good quilt year for you, I think! I haven't been quilting much since my daughter is home visiting, but I'll be picking it up again this week, since she leaves on Tueaday :-( Vicki's Fireburst is so pretty!

The 3D quilt is so inspiring and hard to take your eyes off of. I really love that you photographed it on the fence. It is a place that feels like home to me.

Love your 3D challenge quilt! You really could reach out and grab those pluses off of the quilt.
