UFO Busting #97
Happy Saturday! Signs of spring are everywhere. Flowers starting to poke up through the ground. The robins are back searching for worms and the spring peepers (frogs) could be heard singing their happy little songs. Then bam! More snow. I hope those little frogs have their long johns on, cause it's cold. But cold outside means more inside time...more time for sewing.
I was able to get my OMG for the month completed and The Great Outdoor Quilt is ready to be pieced!

February OMG--Complete
I hate when I wait till the last minute to get things finished but I'll take a finish no matter how it comes to me. This month my goal was to turn this pile of fabric into neat little piles of cut pieces.
Really that seems simple enough and a goal that sounds almost like cheating. Cutting fabric, such a simple thing. I managed to drag this one out all month but as of last night I can count this one as a finished.

Star Quilt--Finish
Here's to a quilt that was 10 years in the making. I have no idea what the name of the pattern is. As I recall, I think it came from a magazine? I wanted so badly to make this quilt because I was in love with the stars in stars.

To-Do #8
Last week's list:
1) Continue cutting on The Great Outdoors Quilt--progress
All the pieces are cut, except for the panel and two fabrics. So this one saw some major progress this week. But to finish this OMG by the end of the month, I still have some cutting to accomplish.

UFO Busting #96
Welcome back to another weekend of UFO busting! This week I was totally distracted by two squirrels. When those little critters come knocking I just have to open the door and let them in to entertain me. Our guild has decided to make quilts for our local DHHR to give to children that are removed from their homes. It's all I could think about so I immediately went to work, making two small quilt.s
Quilting these will not take long and I'm hoping to sneak them in sometime before our meeting in March.

No fabrics where cut, but the pattern is printed and I am ready to slice and dice.
This week's list:
1) Continue cutting on The Great Outdoors Quilt
2) Piece two child donation quilts
3) Quilt on Mosaic Mystery
4) Work on one of the two UFO challenge projects; Flying Geese Quilt or Floral Fireburst

UFO Busting #95
Welcome back to another weekend of UFO Busting. I have a finish that is a UFO to celebrate but no pictures...how sad is that??
Hopefully, the sun will come back out and I can get pictures soon. What I did do this week, I attended the guild meeting and participated in an ugly fat quarter drawing. I'm actually pretty pleased with the two I got.
I have no idea what I will make, but with a PEZ fabric it has to be fun.
While I didn't do much sewing myself this week, I have a new person wanting to join me in sewing. My cousin has always been very supportive of my quilting and very inquisitive as well. This week he dipped is toe in the sewing water and I helped him cut and begin piecing a quilt that will be for his daughter.
Speaking of love, hearts and red where floating around last week's party. Nancy at Grace and Peace Quilting was definitely feeling the love. And I just might be too.
Nancy joined in with Molly at Lovely Threads quilt along for her Show Love pattern. I have to admit, this has me wanting to drop everything and make this small project. Make sure you pop over and show Nancy some love.
Next up we have Roseanne and Sue over at Home Sewn By Us. They have decided to play along with Project Quilting this year and the weekly theme challenges they give. The latest challenge was hearts. Something with hearts.
They were able to whip up this adorable little heart hanging for their door to greet loved ones when the come over. I know that makes me feel the love. Make sure you stop over and heart this sweet little wall hanging.
Now it's your turn. Link up below and show us what you've been up to this week.
You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

UFO Busting #94
I just want to say, for a ground hog that didn't see his shadow, promising an early spring, it sure was pouring the snow down here yesterday. That's ok, it's the perfect excuse to stay in and make the sewing machines buzz and the rotary cutters slice and dice. I've been so busy with Operation Dishwasher 2020, that not much sewing has happened over here. It's mostly been kitchen purge and reorganize, but this weekend, I hope to relax with some sewing.
Putting the finishing touches (aka binding) on this so old UFO, I completely forgot it existed, is number one on the agenda this weekend. I will be gifting it to a friend so I better get my butt in gear.

February OMG
As per usual with me, I'm sneaking this post in as the hour glass sands are running thin. It's time to link up and join Patty over at Elm Street Quilts with her One Monthly Goal link up. Honestly, there were so many things on my list I could pick from I had trouble deciding. However I decided to go with a new quilt project, though I've had the quilt kit almost two years.
My cousin purchased this quilt kit in hopes that he and I could make it together for his dad. It is The Bear Creek Quilting Company's The Great Outdoors quilt.

To-Do Tuesday #5
Last week's list:
1) Finish piecing A Flower Bouquet--Done
It feels like I drug piecing this quilt out way to long. I'm happy to say the top is finished, though not the best inside picture. It will have to wait a little bit to be quilted, but I'm hopeful I can finish it this year.
