So I thought I would check in with my week 4 purchases before we wrap up this pattern purchasing party (how's that for alliteration?).
This week's purchase includes a pattern I almost bought two weeks ago. The deal was sealed for getting it when budding quilter, David aka the husband, showed a strong interest in making this quilt. Actually, his fabrics for starting this quilt should arrive today in the mail. I think he's showing good signs of being a quilter or "quilt builder," when he hasn't finished his first quilt but quilts two and three are already coming together mentally as well. Okay, back to the pattern. The pattern is called Looking Glass (sounds Wonderland-ish right?) and is by Cheryl at Meadow Mist Designs.

Next up, is a pattern by Lee at Freshly Pieced called Terrazzo. I have followed Lee's blog for quite some time now, but was drawn toward this particular quilt when Kitty (Night Quilter) posted about her purchase of the pattern.

And last is a quilt I had oogled over before, but had forgotten about. It is called The Kittens by Elizabeth Hartman over at Oh Fransson.

Looks like your husband is getting right into quilting and the let's see how many WiPs I can have at once mentality. I know it well. ;) I really like the Terrazzo pattern; it's caught my eye a few times. Very nice acquisitions!
Those are great choices for May is for Makers. I've made the Looking Glass pattern and it was wonderful! The quilt top went together really fast (it's still waiting to be quilted though, shhh...). It's a great pattern for a budding quilter. Also, it's awesome that your husband is getting more involved. Mine likes to "help" with design decisions but that's about it. :)
Love the kittens and I'm a dog person so that's says a lot! All great choices!
What great additions. Your hubby sure is looking ahead. It sounds like he's thinking look out quilting world here I come.
Oooh! I really like that Freshly Pieced pattern. I always seem to be drawn to anything with a rainbow effect. I look forward to seeing your version or maybe your husbands! You are so lucky he enjoys this craft with you!
Great collage you made! I love every one of your purchases; I, too, had totally forgotten about that kitten pattern. I love rainbow quilts, so Lee's pattern is very appealing. I love thinking about all the precuts (now X2!) floating around your house!
It is so awesome that your husband is already planning out the next quilts he wants to make. Sounds like you two are going to be up to a lot of fun together! May is for Makers has been awesome.
That is so awesome your husband want to make a quilt and I am so honored he picked Looking Glass! I actually just finished a twin size version of the pattern for my co-worker's new foster child.
How fun that your hubby wants to build quilts! Is there room for two of you in your sewing room?
Those are wonderful purchases! David has absolutely caught the bug. How fun that must be Tish to see him planning and dreaming over quilts! I told my husband about your husband and definitely detected a spark of interest! :)
The kitten pattern is my favorite...I think I may have to have it!

Two quilters in one household equals two fabric stashes. I really think you need to talk to him about getting a studio built... Love that Kittens pattern. You've made some great choices for May.
