UFO Busting #96

Welcome back to another weekend of UFO busting!  This week I was totally distracted by two squirrels.  When those little critters come knocking I just have to open the door and let them in to entertain me.  Our guild has decided to make quilts for our local DHHR to give to children that are removed from their homes.  It's all I could think about so I immediately went to work, making two small quilt.s

Quilting these will not take long and I'm hoping to sneak them in sometime before our meeting in March.

Dinosaurs and cats were not the only wild life to make an appearance this week in my house.  The woodland wildlife has descended upon me too.

The end of the month is right around the corner and I've got to get my monthly goal completed.  It's time to measure and cut the fabrics for The Great Outdoors quilt.  I may have to sneak some of these to work with me and chop in my free time.

Now lets have a peek at last week's party.  First up we have Gretchen at Gretchen's Little Corner and what has me saying OMG is her OMIGOSH quilt.

She just got done adding borders to this one and I am in LOVE with it.  So many little pieces!  I'm not telling you how many, but if you hop over to congratulate her, she will tell you.

Next we have Karen over at Quilts...etc and her progress on her Alaska Quilt.  Making 5-8 blocks for this quilt is her OMG for February and, lets cheer her on, she finished it.

Setting monthly goals, even if they seem little to you, really can be an encouraging thing.  Seeing Karen complete this makes me go, if Karen can piece those blocks, I can surely cut quilt pieces before the end of the month.  Make sure you hop over and congratulate her on finishing her goal!  Karen, I can't wait to see this one all put together.

Now it's your turn.  Link up below and show us what you've been up to this week.

  2. I love that dinosaur print! The cats look fun, too! These will be smiles and comfort--no better quest for a quilt than that!

  3. What a worthy project and you've got some great fabrics for those quilts. Sometimes those squirrels know what they are doing.

  4. Hi Tish! Yes, it is time to get going on that February OMG. You've got one more Saturday, and I am confident you will easily accomplish your goal. Ooh-la-la! How nice of you to whip up two quilts for children who will really need the extra comfort and love they provide. I think you've been rocking this whole year so far! ~smile~ Roseanne
