UFO Busting #76

Just curious, did anyone notice my mistake at last week's party?  It wasn't #78, it was really #76.  I think I was in a cloud from my pending quilt top finish...a quilter's high....that will do it to you.  So speaking of that high, I did finish piecing the September Island Batik Child's Play challenge with no time to spare.

You can read more about my quilt top Kaleidoscope here

It was another slow going on the sewing this week.  I cleaned up my mess from making Kaleidoscope and started another, by pulling out the Pat Sloan's Out of This World Quilt.

I have two small sections and one block to make and I can start piecing this one together.  I need to decide on border fabric...the black and white dots or the cute black constellation print?  One I already have the other I would have to order.

So in my time of indecision, I expressed myself in other ways.  I hit the kitchen for some fun boozy baking.  On the menu was a pineapple upside down rum cake and fireball cupcakes.

What is it about fall that just makes you want to bake yummy things to eat?

Speaking of cooking, let's see what you guys cooked up last week.

Wendy from Pieceful Thoughts of My Quilting Life stopped by last week and brought with her a Christmas UFO finish.

Wendy decided to think ahead and tackle a project she could enjoy in the coming up season.  Like is more common than not, she had a pieced project but no idea how to quilt it.  She decided on some beautiful hand quilting and bam!  She's got a great piece that is sure to bring smiles this Christmas season.  Make sure you visit Wendy and check it out.  Santa is watching.

Next up we have Karen over at KaHolly and her scrappy flimsy finish.  Now, Karen thinks we might be getting sick of seeing this quilt and I think she is wrong.  I love this pattern and all that scrap-happiness!

Make sure you hop over to Karen's and let her know how much we love it and can't wait to see it again and again and hopefully finished!

Now it's your turn.  Link up below and show us what you've been up to this week.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

Oh, Tish! What a surprise to see my quilt highlighted in your post today! Thank you so very much. Your kaleidoscope quilt is as delicious as the yummy treats you baked. Are you going to write a pattern?. Funny, I was just wondering last night as I was falling asleep if I would be able to swirl frosting on cupcakes as pretty as that. I’m eager to give it a try.
