UFO Busting #68

With deadlines looming over my head, I managed to sneak in a bit of me sewing time this week in the form of catching up on the Pat Sloan Out of this World Mystery Quilt.

My mind is already racing on how this one will be quilted.  I am hoping to get it finished before the end of the year.

I also celebrated a finish this week.  My July Artsy Fartsy challenge quilt wrapped up and got it's own little photo shoot.  You can read more about it here.

Now it's back to my deadline projects.  I'm cutting it closer than I would like with them and I'm praying for lots of uninterrupted quilting time this weekend.  If you see me out and about, yell at me, I need to be back in the sewing room!

Speaking of Island Batik...the Beat the Heat Blog Hop kicked off yesterday over at their blog with chances to win prizes!

There is also a list of everyone participating and their blog dates.  My date is Tuesday the 13th and I am all Geared Up about it...wink wink.

Let's see what you were up to last week.

Kathleen at Kathleen McMusing also finished up her Island Batik Artsy Fartsy Challenge.  I am in love with Interior Beauty.

Kathleen used well over the 3 different weights of thread we were required to use.  Hop over to find out how she created this beautiful thread painted project.

Next up, my dear blogging friend, Helen at Midget Gem Quilts, celebrated a finish.

This quilt is for a special little man in her life.  There may be a bit more quilting to come...but for now I say drink wine and celebrate a job well done!!

Now let's see what you've been up to this week.  Link up below and tell us all about it.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

Thanks so much, Tish! It was a really fun project and I did learn alot - I may do another version on the white batik (and wouldn’t you know it 2 days ago I found an ever brighter yellow-orange aurifil hiding out on me! Deadlines are killing me...but I am feeling good about my August project. Hope the rest of your weekend is fab!

Looks like everyone’s beating the heat by keeping busy in their sewing spaces.
