Welcome back for another week of UFO busting and UFO distractions. UFO busting is where we celebrate those finishes that have been begging to be finished and we celebrate anything you worked on this week. I hope you can take a few minutes to party harty with us this week. This week I celebrated a blog hop finish.
Tuesday was my day on the Island Batik Beat the Heat Blog Hop. I have been dying to show you the fabrics they sent me to play with. I received a half yard bundle of the Geared Up collection and had so much fun playing with it. Read more about these fabrics here and how to join the party and win prizes!
This week I continued working on the Daisy Chain Mystery Quilt. I almost have all the block A's finished and predict the B blocks will see their day this weekend as well.
Cutting has also started on the Mosaic Mystery Quilt hosted by Cheryl at Meadow Mist Designs.
I plan to be ready when the next set of instructions come out the first week of September.
And exciting news for me...I finally have the shelving up and everything put away in my quilting room! This has been a long long time coming.
It's so nice to have nothing in the floor and be able to see everything I have. No more shifting things to get to something else. It definitely makes keeping track of all those lingering projects much much easier!
Now let's take a look at what you were up to last week. Kathleen at Kathleen McMusing celebrated a finish with her Island Batik Beat the Heat Quilt, Morning Glory Mosaic using the Enchanted Forest collection.
Those purples and greens are to die for! Make sure you hop over and read about the creation of this quilt and learn more about Enchanted Forest.
Next up is Lisa at Sunlight In Winter Quilts and her progress on the Modern Guild's charity quilt.
After piecing together all the sisterhood blocks, it was time for some slow vacation stitching. Make sure you visit Lisa and her girls and help cheer her towards a finish!
Now it's your turn. Link up below and show us what you've been up to this week.

Your Geared Up quilt is super!!! Great design for the fabric!
Congrats on the sewing room reorg. I'm in the middle of that at the moment.
Hi Tish! You look nice and organized. That has to help with your creativity, don't you think? Knowing what you have and where it is or may be certainly have to give you an idea of where you can take a project. Plus you had a fabulous finish this weekend. All is certainly well in your quilting world. ~smile~ Roseanne
I have not been finishing up any UFOs lately, but I'm doing a bang up job of creating more. Heh. I did drop off two quilts to my longarm buddy, so will have some finishes at some point. Your shelves look great -- doesn't it feel so good to have that task done? Love that IB quilt - those colors are so warm and inviting!
Hi Tish. your Daisy Chain is looking great. I'll be joining you on getting those fabrics cut for Cheryl's quilt along.
You’re making great progress on your sewing space! Like mine, it encompasses the living spaces in my house, and so difficult to keep tidy. Loving your ongoing projects, Tish. And your Geared Up quilt is spectacular! I just don’t know how you manage to keep up with everything!
Your Daisy Chain blocks look great. I may have to re-think that QAL and go make something. Yeah for shelving to get organized!
Hey, wow! The pink-and-yellow blocks really take me back to my very oldest UFO (which will continue sitting in the closet for quite a while, yet). I really love it. It's from 1992, and although it's calico fabrics rather than batiks, the look is quite similar. Fun :)
The pink and yellow bocks are sweet. Getting your sewing space organized makes such a difference, doesn't it?
