Episode 2 of C&P

Last week I was basking in a new love affair with beautiful fabrics.  We flirted.  We went out.  And it looked like this.  Bits and pieces of bright beautiful half square triangles.

But with all relationships, you come to the point where you have to decide to take it to the next level and we were there.  It was time to come together and really build something.

As the days passed the pieces joined to form something beautiful.

I couldn't believe my luck.  How had fabrics as eye popping as these have found their way to me?

Then it happened again.  I was innocently walking along daydreaming about my love when I was stopped.  I heard something calling my name.  I looked around and there they were.

Three fat quarters of Anna Maria Horner Passionflower and a large spool of Aurifil #4173 Dark Olive.  Ummm, hello!  We started talking like old friends that have known each other for ages.  A challenge was presented and I gladly accepted.  I couldn't exactly say no to them.  Look at that pink and olive!  Could you say no?

So I went back home and told my love about meeting the new friends.  It was totally supportive when I assured that nothing had changed between us.

Tune in next week to find out if Passionflower will be successful in distracting me from Moroccan Bazaar.  I can juggle two fabric relationships at once?  Will I find myself stuck with a pin or will they find themselves seam ripped apart?  All next week on...The Cut and The Pieced.

And did those last fabric pieces just fall at your feet?? Beautiful brights, and with white to show off their glamour, perfect. Love the way your seams are pressed open, the last triangles I did, I ironed to one side, but open will be the way next time.

I love your storyline, and the humor. It looks like you and the Moroccan met at a dance party. I have my little side crush too. I just haven't committed to what we're going to do together.

Hi Tish! Ooh, the next installment of The Cut and the Pieced. We were just talking about this over coffee today, wondering how the relationship was going and if there was going to be a distraction. That olive thread is rather a head turner. I did a doubletake myself when it winked next to that lovely swirly olive fabric. A whole week to wait to find out?? I don't know if I can make it. ~smile~ Roseanne

Well, how can you say no to passionflower? Nestled against that olive is just a thing of beauty indeed. (I want that thread.) I'm pretty sure these two plot lines are both going to come together somehow, just like it does in the movies, so I'll just stay tuned for the next episode. Hope it comes out soon!
