A Crafted Applique Winner

First off, a huge thank you to everyone that stopped by and commented for a chance to win a copy of Lara at Buzzin Bumble's book Crafted Applique!!  Sorry I didn't get to reply to all the comments, but my baby girl did safely return form her Disney trip all in one piece, so that is a win for me.  Know that I do appreciate everyone of you that stopped by.

The lucky winner of Lara's book was comment number....

135.  Tu-Na Quilts: "I follow Buzzin Bumble on Bloglovin."

A huge congrats to Karen at Tu-Na Quilts for winning this copy of Crafted Applique!  I have sent out an email to both Karen and Lara to let them know.  And a huge thank you to Lara for allowing me share her book with you.

In the mean time, I have been working on a few more items on my 4th quarter goal lists.  One was to keep up with the Meadow Mystery quilt clues posted so far.

I can officially say that I will end the year right where I need to be on this project.  I also thought it might be fun to share two photos from when I pattern tested this quilt for Cheryl, So that you can see the color way I chose.

 This was the fabric pull.

And here it is all chopped up into pieces.  I should end up with two very different looking quilts, I think.

I have also made progress on my MOD Bear Paw quilt from Lorna's quilt along over at Sew Fresh Quilts.  I didn't figure I would get this one pieced until the end of December, but now I have high hopes it just might be finished before then.

Somewhere in that pile of blocks a big ol' black bear is sneaking up on me.

All of his paw prints came together to form the top half of the quilt.  Now I just have to coax him out of hiding and I will have another top ready to be quilted.  What's the best way to coax a hear out of hiding?  Peanut butter? A juicy steak? Pick-nick basket??

I hope to put my blocks for the Meadow Mystery quilt for December together this afternoon. We'll see! It will be fun to see your two different versions.

Your bear quilt is super cute! I just finished sewing up my top yesterday and today I'm thinking I'll take apart the eye and nose and make it darker as the dark brown didn't show up very well. You know, I just gotta make it perfect. Drives me nuts!! Thanks so much for the book; I can't wait to read it as applique has always scared me so I haven't done much up to now. I hope you got my email.

I forgot to tell you how to coax that bear out of hiding....give him a hug. After all, bears (cute teddy bear ones that is) like to be hugged.

Oh my gracious, each of your quilts are looking marvelous! How fun it must be to test patterns for a quilt designer! Have a great time finishing them and definitely share as you can. As for coaxing a Bear out, they tend to really like sweet smells and tastes (like Winnie the Pooh and his honey jar) So lets go for a Double decker deluxe chocolate cake smothered in Peanut Butter Cream cheese frosting! LOL! Have a fantastic creative day!

What's the best way to coax a bear? In this case, maybe you should just lay down and pretend you're sleeping. He is a bear on a quilt, after all! Love how your Bear Paw is coming along. Those yellow centers in the paw blocks are so perky!

It's so impressive that you are keeping up with not one, but two quilt alongs Tish! And really great ones they are too!
To coax a bear out of hiding, bake some blueberry muffins. I've read that moose like muffins, so I bet a bear would too ;)
Thank you so much Tish for the fantastic job you did of promoting my book. You are a Super Sweetie Pie!
