A Party and A Winner

This weekend we celebrated Jen's 16th birthday a week early.  A simple family affair with a few friends as well.  The party consisted of a fire for roasting hot dogs (and maybe some marshmallows),

some yard games, and a pinata,

my husband finding comfort in a Grumpy Cat,

and of course cake.

How about a few birthday out takes as well?

Jen making good use of left over pinata.

That look though?  She's definitely 16.

And a poser!  This is my non-quilty best friend, Stacie.  She ordered this shirt for me for Christmas and they sent it to her in the wrong size.  When she called the company they told her to keep the one they sent and they would also send a new one in the correct size.  She was really happy they let her keep the first shirt because it was SUPER comfy.  She thought it would be funny if we both wore them.

And now on to the quilting portion of the show...the winners of my "Cheryl Party" give away.

The winner of Cheryl's Check Plus pattern is...

Number 19:  Gill who said, "I love both of these patterns!!"

And the winner of Cheryl's Vintage Star pattern is...

Number 69: Nancy J who said, "Yes, I made Cheryl's Midnight Mystery, and so enjoyed it month by month."

Woo Whooo!  Congrats to both of the winners!  I will be contacting you shortly with your copies of the patterns.  A HUGE thank you to Cheryl at Meadow Mist Designs for offering me a chance to give away her two latest patterns to help celebrate their release.  If you would like a copy of either of these patterns you can pick up a digital copy at her Craftsy store here or Etsy store here.  She also has paper copies available at her Etsy store here.  Another big thank you to all of those that stopped by to play and left comments.  Wonderland would't be any fun if it wasn't filled with all my quilting friends.

Tish, thank you so much for hosting the giveaway, here I am at #69, and so many thanks to Cheryl for her generosity again. I can see the Vintage Star in my favourite green, blue and purple batiks. How could I be so lucky? I'll hop over to Cheryl and thank her as well. What a welcome of words as I came in from the hot outdoors!! 20 Celsius, and almost time for summer clothes. Birthday wishes to the young lady, looks like everyone had a great time.

Whoo Whoo! Happy birthday to Jen! The party looks like it was a wonderful day.
I don't know if that's a 16 year old expression. My girls still do it and they are 26 and 30, LOL. Yikes, my girls are 26 and 30! How did that happen?
We can tell you've loved and worn your t-shirt the most Tish. What a nice gift from Stacie.
Congrats to the winners!
