So after a day or two of working...where am I at?
I'm so close to a finish on this one, it's not funny. The only thing left to do is finish up some applique, baste and quilt. I even know how I'm going to quilt it. Unfortunately, that's really all I can say about this one right now...actually you might hear that more than once in today's post...lot's of secretish (secreTish...get it :p) sewing going on.
I managed to baste three small quilting projects; a charity baby quilt, mini round robin and a block I recently pattern tested. The only thing holding me back is figuring out how exactly to quilt them.
I've managed to set aside some time to do a bit of pattern writing for a pattern I hope to release and for a hop that will be coming up soon (more details on that shortly). Now I just need to get to cutting.
Speaking of cutting, I now have everything completely cut for Lorna's MOD Bear Paw QAL over at Sew Fresh Quilts. Now I'm on the task of making quite a few bear paw blocks in a lovely shade of blue. I figure if I can make a few each evening, I should keep up just fine.
I really love this white on white fabric I'm using for the background...it makes me very happy.
So back to the grind stone for me. And on a side note before I sign off, the Blogger's Quilt Festival kicked off this week over at Amy's Creative Side. There are many categories to choose from and you can enter up to two quilts. So if you get a chance, write up a post about two of your favorite quilts (even if you've wrote about them before) and enter into the show. I'm not sure I'll get a post written, but I definitely plan on browsing all of the categories to check out all the quilts...even if I didn't write it on my list.

Hi Tish: Just noticed you beside me in the link up. Your doing a good job of keeping up. I've got my fabric so that's were I am for now. I'm interested in seeing how everything comes together on your list.
Making a list sure does help to keep things straight. Looks like you are making great progress. Especially with three projects basted and ready to quilt! Love your feather background fabric for the Bear Paw!
Hope you manage to get a post written for the festival. I would love to see which quilts you pick. Good luck with the pattern writing - I wait with bated breath for the launch party!
I am a huge fan of list writing. I love that quilts have lots of steps so that I can cross off progress as I go, too! I hope the activity helped you feel focused on what to do next.
Sounds like you have a good plan! I find that having lists keeps everything straight in my head and lets me more efficient.
Hopefully your list will get you closer to some finishes Miss Secretish. I don't write lists just do mental list.
Tail chasing in the literal sense, LOL. SecreTish sewing is fun but also hard to show what you've been up to. Love the bear paw fabrics and you're right Tish, that white and white is awesome!
You are in the same boat I was in a few weeks ago, lots of secret sewing and too many projects going at once. I almost felt as though I was going backward! But after a few weeks, everything is coming together, and it's almost like a finish every day! So hang in there. Yes, I did finally have to make a list. Actually, I've had to sit and make a list every morning to keep from becoming overwhelmed. Did that stop me from starting something new? Nope! Good luck! XO
Lists are definitely the way to go, I find that I get so scattered otherwise! Good luck on yours! That white on white is lovely.
I get driven to list making at times too - looks like your lists really did help. Nice to see your start on the BP quilt...mine is at the fabric choosing stage still :-)
Lists really help me and even if it takes a couple three months to check things off, it gives me great pleasure to do so, and I keep them...crazy lady that I am...look back in six months and think man, I DID that! And THAT one! And THAT one too! I need to make a new list, not that I have finished a whole lot of anything but to keep me on track.
I'm always making lists. If I didn't, I wouldn't get anything done. I like the blue you chose. And the feather background fabric is nice, too.
