UFO Busting #141

Happy Saturday!  Once again, it's time to round things up and see what we have been up to.  I can't show you what I got lost in last weekend...because it's a mystery surprise.  But I can finally tell you what it was!

Over the past few weeks, I have been pattern testing for Cheryl over at Meadow Mist Designs for her soon to come Macaron Mystery Quilt...and let me tell you...it was delicious!  That's all I can say.  Mum's the word.  Well I can let you know it will kick off July 1st and run through April of 2022.  On the first Thursday of each month a new set of instructions will be given.  I promise, 30ish days is plenty of time to complete them.  I mean, come on, I did the whole quilt in four-ish weeks while working two jobs and tacking other small projects.  So I hope you will join along.  Sewing with friends is always so much fun!!!  And I'm just guessing but I be there will be some pretty awesome prizes at the end.

On to what I can show you.  I have still be working away at a new bed quilt (and a secretly hope fort making quilt) for my sweet goddaughter, Pickle.

With just a few more rows to add, my brain is already thinking about the quilting.  I've been practicing an over all heart design using the Line Designer (find out more about it here).

But I'm also having visions of ribbon candy in the sashing and fun curves in the corner stones.  The quilt will just have to let me know what it wants.

Now it's time to show you some things from our last party.  I'm not the only one who has been solving mysteries.  Donna Lee has been cracking one herself.  In January her guild started a mystery quilt via their news letter.  Donna Lee has been using stash fabrics to help this mystery come together.

I do love a good mystery and I cannot wait for her to get to the end of this one.  All that scrappy white fabric has me on the edge of my seat.  I'm a sucker for tone on tones.

Last party I mentioned seeing Sandra at mmm!quilt's  quilt Follow Your Own Path in an ad in a magazine while shopping.  Well golly gosh, I spotted her again at the party!  Cindy over at Quilt Schmilt is also working on the quilt.

She recently finished her quilt flimsy and it looks fantastic!  If you would like to make one of your own, pop over to Sandra's now.  She is hosting a quilt along for this fun quilt.  Trust me...she would never point you wrong.  You can always follow her. :)

Now it's your turn.  Link up below and show us what you have been up to this week!

Hi Tish! I signed up for Cheryl's mystery quilt. What a nice pace that some might call slow but it sounds like it fits my schedule just perfectly. And macarons?! Who doesn't love them?! I can't wait to see Pickle's finished quilt. That all-over heart quilt design looks pretty spiffy to me but I know whatever you pick it will be perfect. And perfectly enjoyed as well. Take care! ~smile~ Roseanne

I am hungry every time I see the lead in for Cheryl's new mystery. I think I will play on the sidelines, as I am doing fewer QALs until I get rid of some quilts! Looking forward to seeing Pickle's quilt.

Hi Tish. Pickle’s quilt looks intriguing! Looking forward to seeing that finish. Thank you for showcasing my flimsy for Sandra’s QAL. I love doing her patterns! Cheryl’s mystery quilt just might be a squirrel I need to chase down, too.
