Bento Box Baby Quilts

Need a quick easy baby quilt finish?  This quit is 100% for you!  It is the Big Bento Box pattern at Ronda's Creations and it is free.  I think I stumbled upon Ronda's post when I was searching good old Pinterest for possible charity quilt patterns.  What I love about this quilt is, it could easily be made from start to finish in one day...of course I manged to drag them out for weeks.

I kept the quilting on both quilts super simple.  I used Aurifil 50wt #2600 Dove for the quilting.  It is probably my favorite go to neutral color.  One quilt received a classic meandering stipple.  While I took time to practice big rolling swirls on the other.

I'm not sure what the fate of these to little quilts will be.  The goal was for them to be part of my guild's charity projects this year but with no meetings on the horizon, I'll hang on to them a bit longer.  They will let me know when it's time for them to go home.

One thing I'm happy to say about these two quilts are that they will not be counted as UFO's.  They are 2020 start and finishes!  It's very rare I get to say that.

The thread just melts into the fabrics and lets the graphic design, prints, and your quilting shine, Tish. Congratulations on the double finish and I'm sure they will find the perfect forever home when the time is right.

What great quilts - going to download that pattern and add to my stash of benefit quilts! I love your quilting and that you finished it all in such a timely manner.

Hi Tish! Both quilts are fab and great for charity. It's too bad that your guild can't meet even in a Zoom setting. They look so nice on the grass - I'm a bit partial to the bring pink you used. Both quilting jobs will make them nice and snuggly - two someones will be covered in your love. Happy Friday! ~smile~ Roseanne

What great quilts!!! Thanks for sharing the tutorial link. I'll be making some of these for Jack's Basket--perfect size for them!

We're mad about you, you finish things that you've just started! You trying to set the rest of us a good example or something?

How interesting that you wrote about these because I finished a couple of these this week, too. I had to hunt down the pattern again because I misplaced after I made some several years ago. They are quick and easy and I'm sure our recipients will love them.

Thanks for the tutorial. Several years ago I vowed never to do a quilt again (first time quilter fiasco), but you are seriously making me reconsider. So cute!
