Welcome back to another week of UFO busting and this week that is what I have been working on. As we huddled in for another week of social distancing, I continued on with my pattern testing. Three more rows and I will have that quilt pieced. Since I knew I couldn't show you any of that work, I pulled out some half square triangles and pieced this quilt as a leader/ender project.
Measuring in at around 81" square, Gravity, is a quilt kit that purchased from Blueprint back in early winter. It is neatly folded and has joined the every growing pile of quilt-me quilts.
Another UFO that crossed my path this week, was some Pat Sloan Aurifil designer BOM blocks I finished several years ago. The theme that year was something like color wheel. I pieced all the blocks on schedule, but didn't like the final layout so they went into drawer storage.
After some internet surfing, I did find a different year's layout that I loved so I've decided to add in some black and white fabric and insert the blocks into that layout. That is one thing I love about this quilt along. Year to year the blocks are 12.5" so it is very easy to insert them into a different layout.
So some black and white starts are being created.
And the center of the quilt is starting to come together. I'm hoping to have this one pieced by the end of the weekend. Then it's back to actual quilting and mask making...unless another UFO demands to be pieced.
Luckily, I was able to stumble onto some more elastic. More and more people are asking for masks, which I think is a good thing.
Enough about me, let's see what you were up to at last week's party. First up we have Gretchen at Gretchen's Little Corner and her progress on her John Deere quilt.
I am 100% digging the fall colors her in quilt! This is one she is making up as she goes and, from the sound of it, she's got a few log cabins to build. Make sure you stop over and cheer her on. Raising the walls on log cabins can leave you dizzy going round and round and round.
Next up we have Nancy at Grace and Peace Quilting and her new front door quilt, Sunshine on a Cloudy Day.
That gray and yellow color combo always leaves me smiling and feeling sunny. When Nancy's spring quilt found itself in quarantine and unavailable, she set out to make a new one for the season and I think she hit it out of the park! Make sure you pop over and find out why her quilt is in quarantine and take a closer look at this new beauty.
Now it's your turn. Link up below and show us what you've been up to this week.

Your projects are beautiful, great blocks. I love your Gravity!
I have lots of black and white and haven't hit on a pattern I want to use. Never thought of doing stars, love the idea!! Stay safe and healthy my friend, Happy Easter.
That moustache fabric is adorable for masks! And I think the addition of black and white fabrics is just what that UFO sampler needs to tie the different blocks together. Great job keeping busy with all of your projects!
Your projects are looking wonderful Tish - as are the masks. Keep it up!!
Love the HST top AND all those black and white stars!! You've been super productive! (Those mustache masks make me laugh!)
I pulled out my 2018 Aurifil designer of the month blocks and have puzzled together a layout using the left over fabrics I had set aside for the piecing. I look forward to seeing yours come together! Be well, Tish.
Super fun mustache fabric on some of those masks!
The black and white stars will look amazing in your quilt that has been waiting for a layout choice!
Love the mustaches on the mask. It gave me a much needed chuckle. ☺
your masks have been making me smile. You have kept up with them so well. I made 7. YES 7. Not 70 or 700 but 7. And I lost the will to live very rapidly. I am in the house for 12 weeks anyway but have made them for friends who asked. Hoping not too many more ask as I have no more elastic anyway!
Colorful blocks! I love how you're putting them together to make a sort of bear paw center. Great job on the masks. A belated thank you for featuring my spring door quilt! That was sweet of you. I hope everything is okay. It's been awhile since you've been here and you are missed!
