UFO Busting #78
Welcome back for another addition of UFO Busting, where we celebrate those long time waiting finishes and everything else that distracts you from having them. We also celebrate those who are pros that don't even have them, but secretly we are trying to convert them to the procrastination dark side...shhhhh.
I'm still plugging away at the September Island Batik challenge project. With Monday, the last day of the month, around the corner...I am feeling the pressure. I'm confident I will have a quilt top finish by the end of the month. This one truly challenged me this month. It has also left my sewing space a complete disaster.
As my own design, this little quilt top has proven harder than what I thought it would. I really had to pay attention to fabric and block placement. I'm dying to show you this one finished.
Other than that, I've been planning my October and November projects so that I can hit the ground running and possibly work on me projects. As you can see in the photo above, Daisy Chain Mystery is still waiting to have the rows sewed together and the landscape quilt needs just a bit more TLC. We won't talk about the 100 other projects you can't see.
What we will talk about is what you guys were up to last week. Let me just say that Vicki has been on fire this month/quarter when it comes to busting those UFO's. This girl roasted, I mean on fire. Vicki celebrated yet another finish with her Roasted Coffee table runner.
If all coffee appealed to me like this, I'd be drinking all day. Make sure you hop over and find out where this pattern came from and how you can make it too!
Next up, we have Yvonne at Sew Yummy. The projects she serves up always leaves my quilty tummy satisfied and this week is no exception. She shared with us what will be the center of her medallion quilt.
Just let me say, you can NEVER go wrong with Alison Glass fabrics. Those colors...oh yes. Make sure you visit with Yvonne and read about her struggle with the decision to join in on the medallion project. It's a story of a controlled way of trying something new. I would have had the same struggle.
Now it's your turn. Let's see what you've been up to this week. Link up below and let us know what you've been up to.

I cannot wait to see what you are creating, Tish! I agree, Vicki has been really productive in her quilt room this month. It's been fun to see what she's been up to. I need to go read the story on the medallion quilt, so off I go. Thanks for hosting the linky!
I’m so intrigued about what you’re making!
Tish, your sewing space is the most TANTALIZING disaster I’ve seen in a long time. That glimpse of your quilt design, peeking out from the fabric pile! I can’t wait to see it, too! Rock on, girlfriend. Rock on!
I’m Sew glad I visited this morning because I came downstairs and became suddenly overwhelmed. My space mirrors yours. Glad I’m not the only one! I do have a longtime UFO finish, finally. I’ll try to post it and link up today. XO
Oh, I hope your project cooperated with you...as you can see I am a bit behind in getting to my blogs but I am here. Goal is to catch up to today in the next half hour, then do today a little later on. Hope to see your top soon - sometimes we work so hard on what should be simple!
