UFO Busting #58

Welcome to week 58 of UFO Busting.  Have you been sewing along with us over the past year?  If not, join us!  This party isn't just for UFO's.  We definitely celebrate when you finish one but really it's about community and sharing what you're working on.  My main focus this week has been finishing up the April Island Batik challenge quilt but before I got my nose to the grind stone, I snuck in a little time with the Pat Sloan A Flower Bouquet Quilt.

All the blocks for section three are pieced and waiting on me to sew them all together.  Who knows, I might be doing that right now?

Another project begging for me to pick it back up is the Daisy Chain Mystery Quilt being hosted over at Little Bunny Quilts.

I'm already behind two steps, but with the 29th being a catch up week, I think I might stand a fighting chance of getting caught up.

The good news is, I have finished my April challenge quilt for the Island Batik Ambassador program.

This month our challenge was to create a square size baby quilt using the Go! Cutter and dyes provided to us by the good folks at Accuquilt.  I can't wait to share with you early next week about the quilt I made.  It was actually a bucket list quilt for me and those dye cutters helped it to come together much faster than my rotary could.

Now let's take a look at what you were up to at last week's party.  Nancy over at Grace and Peace Quilting finished up a project she has been working over the past 9 months.

It was a mystery quilt hosted at Quilt Cove and it turned out just beautiful!  Make sure you hop over to congratulate her and read about how she solved this quilty mystery and spent 9 months birthing this quilt.

Next up, is a quilt I am enjoying see come to life as the year progresses.  It is Jen at De Jong House's TBI Temperature Quilt, documenting her life in 2019 related to her brain injury.

If you haven't read about this quilt already please hop over and check it out.  See how 2019 has been treating Jen.  More good days than bad?  Go ready about it!!!!

Now let's see what you've been up to this week.  Link up below and tell us all about it.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

Stop by Monday to check out my finished challenge quilt and then I think I'll talk about the May challenge quilt that won't be.  I mean there will be a challenge quilt, but not the one I planned for...shock shock...I'm a quilter.

I've definitely been working on a UFO this week. I got the scrappy backing all pieced up yesterday, using up all the remaining fabric. Hooray!! However, my blogging muse seems to have taken up with a handsome stranger and hopped a plane to Madrid. Last I heard, she was drinking Campari and soda with Raimundo and dancing into the wee hours. Lucky muse! If she ever returns, I'll have her write something up. Until then, I'm enjoying everyone else's blogs :)

Aww, thanks for the feature! April started out pretty well until last week. But as you can see from my new post, we have a few things going on!
