UFO Busting #50

UFO Busting just hit the big 50 this weekend.  This is our 50th time partying together and I just don't want it to stop!  I was afraid I would show up this weekend empty handed, but even during the personal life crap happens, you will need to sew.  It's good for the soul.

The only time my machine was turned on was to work on a rep sample for Island Batik using the secret fabrics they sent me.  Unfortunately, I can't show that to you.  But trust me those fabrics are so sexy!  Yup, I used the word sexy.

My rotary cutter and Go! Cutter on the other hand...the got a work out.  I started the week off by digging through my totes of stashed fabrics, trying to figure out if I had enough stuff that made me happy to participate in Little Bunny Quilt's Daisy Chain Mystery QAL.  The answer was yes, I do.

My color palette is a bit cotton candy/bubble gum, but I think I like it.

Next up, was picking out fabric and cutting the next block in the A Flower Bouquet QAL.

Once this block is pieced I can start putting the next section up on the design wall and decide what little strips will be the fill in pieces.

Lastly, I started working on a future Island Batik challenge project.  I can't say how much I LOVE the colors in the Crystal Ball fabric line.

How can you not love these purples and turquoise???

Speaking of beautiful purples and turquoise...did you see Jan at The Colorful Fabriholic's finish last week?

Jan is calling it Merciful Plus and it is made using a blogger bundle she won from Needle and Foot Fine Fabrics.  Make sure you pop over to congratulate her on her finish...PLUS you can drool over those beautiful fabrics.

Now it's your turn.  Let's see what you've been up to this week.  Link up below and tell us all about it.

I injured my right index finger 2 weeks ago and it still hurts. Rotary cutting is difficult! But I will press on and bravely trim my HSTs for the Churn Dash I am making. LOL!

Thanks for the shout out! Can't wait to see what all your cut parts turn into - something wonderful, I'm sure!

I’m just finishing up a plus quilt and it’s easily the ugliest quilt I’ve ever made! Hopefully, beauty will be in the eye of the beholder! Yours, on the other hand, is gorgeous!

Hi Tish! You shared some beauties with us today. I don't quite see bubblegum but I do see pretty. And your flower bouquet pull - I love how the navy/teal pulls out the centers of the orange - gorgeous. {{Hugs}} a bunch to you. ~smile~ Roseanne

I had a finish, even though I've only had the fabric for a couple of weeks and the top only sat for a day or two. Still a UFO, right? Kinda? The purple and turquoise fabric is gorgeous! My scraps are multiplying. I need to tackle them soon. Maybe tomorrow.

That's MY blogger bundle I curated!! Squeal, so fun to see it in a plus quilt! Squeal-worthy as well is the Crystal Ball, which ws my line for the hop, as you know, and oh YUM those are such wonderful colours and chops (not prints - I learned that last year). Yay for fabric therapy for IRL crap. Hugs.

Not much sewing time for me recently . Not so much a crappy life happening , but just life . I find I'm getting withdrawal symptoms though . Both from the lack of sewing and bloggy connections!
