Fireburst Mystery Quilt--Block 3

We are in the home stretch!  We are down to our last block and guess what?  You only have one block to make!  Since there is only one block this month I will release the block layout instructions on October 9th, which is a day of celebration at my house...Jen's birthday.  So without further delay, let's get stitching.

You will need the following pieces to construct block 3.  You will also need four Fabric 1 flying geese, four Background flying geese and the square in a square unit.

Lay your block pieces out according to the diagrams below and sew together.

Your finished block will measure unfinished 12.5" square for the baby quilt and 24.5" square for the lap quilt.

That is it for block piecing instructions for the month.  Can you believe that it's about over?  You have a few days to make your block and play around with the layout.  Honestly, it shouldn't be too hard to figure out, but hopefully you will be happily surprised with the out come of your quilts.  Make sure you come back on the 9th and check out the finial set of instructions.  If you would like to make the quilt but didn't get to sew along with us, I promise there is plenty of time for you join in and make one before our big fireworks show on New Years Day!

A printable copy of bock 3 is available on my Craftsy store here.  You can share your progress on our Facebook Group and feel free to tag me on Instagram (@tishnwonderland) or use the #fireburstmysteryquilt

I'm away from my fabric for a week or two, so I'm looking forward to stitching this up as soon as I get home!

That is a great block, in either size! With everything I have in the next two months, I still hope I can do this in December and be ready to go on New Year's Day. Thanks so much for doing this, and making it so easy to do in steps.
