Freefall 2

So let's get right to the point here (see what I did there??)  I am having a blast making all these little Freefall leaves.  The next six blocks went together easy peasy lemon squeezy over here.  Since I was a pro at making them from making the first eight, I was able to chain piece the crap out of these little buggers.

I separated everything into neat little piles and in no time at all have my completed blocks.  I LOVE a project like that.  I chose to paper piece the large shadow leaf points as well.  Sandra has the paper piecing units also available in her Craftsy Shop.

So now I will leave you with all my blocks to date floating around on my mobile design wall.

Only six more blocks to go!  So now there is nothing to do but set around and wait for the next set of instructions, or maybe I could quilt something :)

Today I'm linking up with Freefall Linky and Main Crush Monday.

Tish, those look fun! I just got a new ruler to make those V blocks and this would be the perfect way to practice! Can't wait to see the rest of the quilt....now go quilt something! Are you going to Paducah this week?

Hum, I have a quilt started from years ago with that block. Did you paper piece all the little blocks? Use a ruler? I find those blocks (at least with the ruler I have from 15 years ago or so) ridiculously hard to come up with the correct size. Curious minds want to know!

I had intentions of making my blocks last week but got side tracked, so I know what I need to do in the next few days! Your blocks are looking great together!

Just the half and half blocks to go, I love your colours, I must remember to cut out the pale background single blocks, making sure I DO NOT use that fabric for anything else. I didn't have enough of my original green, and used a different batik, Sandra had the wonderful suggestion to use the new one in the 1/2 and 1/2 blocks. Are you going to add a border?

Your're on top of this one with time to spare. Now I hate to be the bearer of bad news but maybe just you should get quilting those quilts that you made from your yet to be released pattern. I'm getting impatient waiting to see it..

I vote for 'quilt something'! :) I love projects that involve chain piecing too! I'm always so impressed that you stay on top of all your QAL projects.

Hi Tish, it's nice to get these blocks done; I love your colors. These blocks definitely get easier as you go along.
