UFO Busting #65
I am celebrating another finish over here. A small one, but they count just as much as the big ones! Last week I wrapped up working on the June Island Batik Try It! challenge. My poison of choice was the quilt as you go method. I can definitely see why this is a desirable method with quilters.
Once you finish the piecing, you basically have a finished quilt! No UFO's here. You can read more about my experience with QAYG and the mini quilt Scottish Thistle here.
Other than that, I'm still squeaking in a special quilt for Island Batik that will be revealed in July and my August project. Needless to say, things are a bit crazy over here. So without further ado let's look at what was going on the last time we partied.
There was a UFO finish! Gail at Quilting Gail finished up her 6th UFO of the year. It dates back to 2016 and is made a beautiful blues.
In other exciting Gail news, she will be hosting an upcoming marathon! It's one I totally think I could participate in and not have a heart attack too! This will be a baby quilt marathon. Make sure you hop over to Quilting Gail and congratulate her on her finish and read more about this social sewing opportunity.
Now it's your turn. Link up below and tell us what you've been up to.

QAYG can be fun. Great finish!
Your Scottish Thistle mini turned out beautifully! So colorful and bright.
I've never tried QAYG, but I can see how it would be good. Love that little Scottish Thistle, Tish!
I love your QAYG and think it is fabulous! am so tempted to do QAYG for my August IB project, its to big to fit on the whole frame, and its got a circular theme....time will tell.
