UFO Busting #93
Happy 1st day of February! Let's get this month and party started! This week I've been working on my A Flower Bouquet quilt. I am bound and determined to get this thing pieced if it kills me.
I'm down to finishing off the sashing and figuring out borders...will there be some or not? This week I was able to take a day trip to a quilt store, something I hadn't done for a while. I ran into fabric from the original fat quarter bundle I was working with for this quilt.
The bottom two will be be worked into the border and binding, just not sure how yet. The top piece was a just-for-fun end of bolt cut. I just love those little dragon flies and the orange and turquoise flowers.
Apparently I was also in a paisley kind of mood. The gray fabric will become the backing for the Mosaic Mystery quilt and the brown, binding for a very old UFO. A UFO so old I completely forgot about it and it doesn't even appear on any of my to finish lists. Yikes! How many more of those could be lurking around???
That thought leaves me walking in circles drunk...just like last weeks party. Why last week's party? Because there was some circles and drunkard's paths going on! First up we have Maggie at Making a Lather. She's sewing in circles and seeing green.
Maggie used a die cutter to help cut the pieces for these blocks. I love how they come together for her! Make sure you hop over to check them out and see what else she was up to.
Next up we have Gail over at Quilting Gail. Gail may not be a huge fan of sewing circles, but it appears the universe is trying its best to change her mind. For the second year in a row, she will be participating in a challenge using the Block on Board dies from Accuquilt and both years she has received dies with curves. Luckily her guild offered a class on drunkards path and her curve piecing looks on point to me.
Let's cheer Gail on and check out the other projects she's got going on in her quilting room. I can't wait to see what you make with your new dye!
Now it's your turn. Link up below and show us what you've been up to this week.

love that brown Paisley I have a fabric close to that somewhere in the stash unless I already used all of it that is! I used to have several in different colors
I love the two fabrics under your dragonfly fabric. There's something about the way the flowers are put together and spiraling outward that makes me want to touch it. Good luck with the dreaded border decision. I actually chose one this week and haven't changed my mind. Yet.
Any progress is good progress. Hope you can figure out borders and be able to whip this one into shape quickly!
You are getting there! Good luck on the borders....I am sure you will com eup with the perfect plan for you.
Hi Tish! Having been working on a project that was this close || to killing me, I certainly hope your Flower Bouquet is now pieced. It would be a shame to have it kill you - can't you just read the headline?! Quilt kills quilter trying to piece it together. WOWEE, people would think. We'd better stay away from that quilting hobby - it literally IS a killer. Who would go to jail for the crime?? Ok, I'll stop now. Love the gems you found in the quilt shop! The dragonflies are so cool, and that blue fabric matches it SO well. And that gray fabric! Ooh-la-la, it is yummy. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
Great picks at the fabric store. If you are nearing the border, then you are near to a top finished!
