This week has been a little out of this world for me...in the way of Pat Sloan's Out of This World Quilt Along Quilt. I was hoping to have a finished quilt top to bring to the party, but that was not to be. I do have all the blocks completed, they just need turned into a quilt top.
Originally, I planned on making the black polka dot fabric the large outside quilt border. After seeing Pat's completed quilt, I made the decision to order some of the constellation fabric for the border.
I think this will really pull the theme of the quilt together. It's all science and stuff.
After visiting links from last week's party I had an epiphany moment. When I think of UFO's buzzing around our sewing room, I think of them being driven by the classic little green men.
There were a few squirrels hopping around at last week's party. Gail over at Quilting Gail was on a mission to find out what all this talk about quilt squirrels is about about. She stumbled on to the perfect definition and the perfect squirrel quilt.
Scamper over to visit Gail and check out this cute little nut that has her distracted from all those things she should be doing. Fun fact, squirrels are usually loners and do not mingle in groups that often.
That makes our next one a special one, dancing the conga with a scurry of squirrels is Chris at Chris Knits Sews. She had squirrels everywhere in her sewing room last week.
All kinds of projects to work on and distract her. So grab a squirrel by the hip and join in the dancing fun over at her page!
Now it's your turn. Let's see what was dancing around your quilting space last week. Link up below and tell us all about it.

Crazy flying squirrels - a perfect description of the distractions that keep happening for me. But every so often I do manage to finish a UFO.
Your Out of thi world quilt will be just that!
Love the Out of This World block and that constellation fabric will look fabulous!!
The Out of This World block looks like a fun sew along. I think the constellation fabric will be perfect for the border.
