My son and his family had planned to come and help me get leaves off my lawn because I'm having an irrigation system put in for my lawn, etc. I just can't pull hoses any more to water the yard and most of my grass has dwindled. I don't have to have the leaves off for them to put in the irrigation system. I just need to have the leaves off in time for the spraying process for the grass when that time comes in the spring. They came and it's just an ordinary visit since it's jus too cold to rake/blow and bag leaves. However, yesterday I didn't have on a coat when I went to lunch and the mall with a friend and I'm the chilly one in our group. It's supposed to be back up in the 50's this coming week. It seems so strange for kids not to have school when it's cold these days. When I was in school, we had school no matter the weather as long as the Upshur county buses would start and the water wasn't too high. I remember good old 9A. We had that bus packed 3 per seat and from front to pack with kids standing from door to door and down the steps as well. There was hardly room to breathe on that bus. We had the same bus drive for all the years all three of us rode the bus. I remember at almost at the end of the run one evening, the bus caught on fire up one of the dirt roads. He just stopped the bus and we got out the back emergency exit. He used the fire extingusher. He left us standing along that dirt road and he walked over to a house that just happened to be close and called the garage in Tennerton and asked them to send another bus for us. Then he came back over and we just stood out there in the light snow and waited for another bus. The next day faithful 9A was rolling again. If the buses had started on a -15 day, we would have had school - not matter how far kids had to walk to wait for the bus and no matter if they had a school bus shed or not. Things sure have changed. I love your quilt. And, of course, I love the colors.<br />SusanSuzehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05825257012315494167noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-841503584332048056.post-89219097465088800552019-02-04T12:19:52.476-05:002019-02-04T12:19:52.476-05:00I have really been enjoying 2 color quilts lately ...I have really been enjoying 2 color quilts lately myself. This is really striking in just two colors, and I'd say you did a fabulous job of selecting eight of each. Love! And snow for your photo shoot?! That shouldn't be down there. We're finally warming up slightly. -6F with -15 windchill - that's a whole lot better than yesterday and earlier today. ~smile~ RoseanneHome Sewn By Ushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13943739387560629258noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-841503584332048056.post-58675249463183595892019-01-31T17:35:45.951-05:002019-01-31T17:35:45.951-05:00Its beautiful!
